The 3A Framework

How Aspire · Act · Accept plays out across three dimensions of leadership life - Self, Interactions, and Possibilities.

The Philosophy and the Practice

The 3A discipline - Aspire, Act, Accept - is the philosophy. The SIP framework is how that philosophy becomes a coaching conversation.

It explores the work across three dimensions: your Self, your Interactions with people and systems around you, and the Possibilities available from where you actually stand.

Most CXOs don't lack intelligence or capability. What they sometimes lose - quietly, without naming it - is an accurate read of one or more of these dimensions. That's where the work begins.

Where the work begins

Different situations. The same underlying thing.

"I can hear myself in the board meetings. Saying the right things, hitting the right notes. I just don't fully believe them the way I used to — and I think the people in that room can tell."

"On paper it was my best year. I know that. But when I sit with it, there's this flatness I can't explain. Like the person who did all of it wasn't really there for any of it. I haven't said that out loud to anyone."

"Bigger role, six months in, and something's off. Not the strategy. Not the team. Me. Everything that made me good at the last job - being the decisive one, the one with answers - is somehow getting in the way now. I can't quite put my finger on it."

Three different moments. The same underlying work. In each, the leader has lost an accurate read on something - themselves, the room, what actually matters now. That's what 3A works with: Accept what's true, clarify what you Aspire to from there, and Act from that clearer place. The SIP dimensions - Self, Interactions, Possibilities - are simply where that work happens.

The SIP Grid

The SIP Framework is a structure for reflective leadership conversations in CXO coaching

It is a map for where the work is happening across your Self, your Interactions, and the Possibilities available to you, explored across the domains of people , knowledge and environment.

SIP leadership reflection framework grid

This framework is introduced fully once a coaching engagement begins. What you see here is enough to recognise whether it speaks to something in your own experience.

If it does - let's talk.
