What Is Already Available

I have been in Dodhamb for the last three weeks. It is a village near, yet far enough from Dharamshala.

I get up to the sounds of a nearby mountain river coming down from Dhauladhar range. Take long walks in nature. Have found rocks which , chatgpt tells me, could be 500-700 mn year old. Have gone sightseeing in the rain. Food is minimal variety, but healthy and enough. All this while i continue to coach online.

This is a life with a place for everything and no pressure to be anywhere else. Somewhere in these few days, I have found a clarity.

Much of what I imagine wanting in the future - how I wish to show up with people, how I want to be with myself, the quality of attention I aspire to bring - is not actually waiting for a future condition to be met. It is available now.

The circumstances of Dodhamb are specific and temporary. But who I wanted to be there - curious, unhurried, present, open to what is showing up - that is a choice available in any moment, not just in the mountains.

What we defer to the future is often not an external condition. It is an interior one. And interior conditions do not require a particular place or a particular time.

They require a choice.
